Description
Aptly named for the master weaver Haji Jalili from Marand, these rugs originate from Tabriz and came into popularity during the 19th century resurgence of Persian weaving. The artistic re-awakening in Tabriz revived the industry and has produced some of the finest rugs in recent memory.

Haji Jalili is known for his unique approach to weaving and an affinity for distinctive color palettes and design elements. These rugs often incorporated a more muted palette of pinks, golds and grays woven into silk. This particular semi-antique Haj Jalili displays the muted, neutral tones and intricate details connecting motifs to motifs within multiple center piece medallions. The result is a stunning display of skill and beauty that truly made history.
