While Fall weather has certainly arrived, Bryan and I decided to hold on to Summer a little longer and threw an impromptu tea party on the front lawn over the weekend. We brewed some Persian tea and enjoyed it on our favorite new piece - this gorgeous vintage area rug. The area rug was the perfect backdrop for our fête. A beautiful cultural piece, we love the bright red hue and intricate patterns.
To make your week a little more magical, check out gorgeous vintage area rugs just like this one from Medallion Rugs. And here's a recipe from our friend Sayareh for the perfect cup of Persian tea.
Earl Grey black tea (loose)
Cardamom (whole pieces)
Bring water to a boil. Place loose tea, cardamom, and a pinch of rose water or petals into a tea ball or sachet. Steep tea for five minutes. Pour into a clear glass. This is important to see how strong or dark the tea is. It is custom to drink it with Persian pastries to balance out the bitter taste of the tea.
