While Fall weather has certainly arrived, Bryan and I decided to hold on to Summer a little longer and threw an impromptu tea party on the front lawn over the weekend. Â We brewed some Persian tea and enjoyed it on our favorite new piece - this gorgeous vintageÂ area rug. Â The area rugÂ was the perfect backdrop for our fÃªte. Â A beautiful cultural piece, we love the bright red hue and intricate patterns.

Earl Grey black tea (loose)
Cardamom (whole pieces)
Bring water to a boil. Â Place loose tea, cardamom, and a pinch of rose water or petals into a tea ball or sachet. Â Steep tea for five minutes. Â Pour into a clear glass. Â This is important to see how strong or dark the tea is. Â It is custom to drink it with Persian pastries to balance out the bitter taste of the tea.
